St. Luke’s Shower Ministry

Members of St. Cross work together to support St. Luke’s shower program in Long Beach. You can be involved in a number of ways in this two day service project.

On Friday from 3-4, we prepare lunches, make sandwiches, cook soup, and collect cookies. Come to St. Cross on Friday to help prep lunches or bake cookies or banana bread and drop it off at the church so we can include it in prepared lunches.

On Saturday from 7-9 we pass out lunches, serve hot cocoa and coffee, and hot soup to the guests waiting in line for showers at the St. Luke’s shower program. Join us in Long Beach on a Saturday to see the fruits of our labors.

We only do this project FOUR times each year. Please check the church Calendar or with Rev. Josh to find out when the next dates are. (Always on the 3rd Saturday of the month and generally the months of February, June, August, December).
