Time to Reconnect to Christ-Christian Education, St. Cross Day and More
I hope you have all had restful and restorative summers. I know it can be difficult to get your family to the 9am service, but we hope you will make the effort for the last two. Blessing of the Backpacks is this Sunday, Sept. 1 and we would love to have your child, teen, and you, start the year with a special blessing. This St. Cross Day Sunday, Sept. 8 is one you do not want to miss. I don't want to give away too much, but there will be uplifting worship, cheerful community, yummy food, and games that will make you laugh.
On Sunday, Sept. 15, we will start Sunday School at the 9am hour with church to follow at 10. We will have an ALL PARENT MEETING at 9 am. Drop off your child to the assigned room and then come and join the other parents. If you are not teaching in a classroom we hope that you will meet with me, Rev. Rachel, and Rev. Josh at 9am (we are still deciding where, stay tuned) as we discuss all you need to know about Christian Education for the coming year. The registration forms will be sent separately in a future email. FOLLOWING the 10am service, there will be a meeting with High School parents and students in Clark Hall with Rev. Rachel. This is different from the one at 9am. High School Parents, if you are going to make one meeting, please come with your child to the one after the 10am service.
Adult Education is now called Sunday Bible Study. This will begin on Sunday, Sept. 29. This will be an opportunity to study the Sunday readings with the preacher. Occasionally we will have a Rector's Forum in place of Bible Study, and those will be announced in advance.
